The flowering of the Cornish hedges comes later to the fields and lanes just below the moors, and so it was not until June that this lane leading to the Iron Age settlement of Carn Euny reached its most lavish blooming. The May blossom echoed the clouds above and the whole landscape was full of sunshine and colour.
