I set myself the challenge of creating a dynamic composition of a sunflower in a horizontal format when I always think of them as so vertical and upstanding. The shimmering gold of flowering Stipa gigantea accentuates the sense of movement within the textile collage. By using highly reflective hand-dyed satin I have created a sense of shifting light within the grass.
