Butterflies and Bugs
In this wooded valley bottom with a small river running past the house, a pond, and an almost wild garden, bugs are very happy. Dragonflies and Damselflies find this the perfect environment. The dragonflies cruise purposefully through the air and damselflies sun themselves in the dappled light, occasionally fluttering their iridescent wings. All have light reflective qualities echoed in the fabrics Amanda uses in her textile collages and the continually changing light across their wings is found within the art.
